CHEAP DUBAI? LETS GO! .. DUBAI BARATO? VAMONOS!

Now we are going to enter the fascinating world of the Emirates, specifically the city of Dubai. With its gigantic, splendid buildings, including the largest in the world, its luxury hotels, one of them being the only one rated seven stars in the world, and a great diversity of nationalities and ethnic groups, there is so much to see and do.

Here are some tips for your trip:

• Hotel: Look for a hotel close to public transportation. Listen to me now, believe me later. Otherwise, you will have to take a taxi. Dubai is a bit expensive. You will save USD$100sss by taking public transportation.

• Purchase your attractions tickets directly from the their website. You will save money by not paying agencies add-ons.

• Visit the Burke Khalifa, the largest building in the world. The best time to visit around 6PM local time. You can see the entire city from above, and you can go see the fountain show at the Mall of Dubai when you're done.

• Don't miss a visit to the Burj Al Arab, the only 7-star hotel in the world. You can buy an excursion where they will show you several rooms inside the hotel. You can also add drinks to the excursion, such as the famous coffee sprinkled with 24 carat gold!!, and some meals at an additional cost. I recommend the 5pm tour, since after the tour you can have your drink and eat on the UMA terrace watching the sunset: spectacular!

• Get lost in the Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world. You can do everything: eat, skate, visit an aquarium, and more! A whole day won't be enough to see it in its entirety. There are all kinds of restaurants, and also a supermarket that offers all kinds of freshly prepared food. If you are like me and enjoy visiting markets, you'll especially love this part of the mall.

• In addition to the Dubai Mall, the Mall of the Emirates hosts a huge Carrefour market that also offers fresh foods. To go, you can take the metro from The Dubai Mall, thru an internal passage.

• Dubai is not an easily walkable city. As I explained to you, use public transportation such as the metro, tram, bus, or abra, which are water taxis (small boats). On the metro, one way will cost you around $2USD, but you can also buy the Nol card, with which you can buy up to 10 passes for public transportation and fill it out.
  

• If you need to take a taxi, use Uber or Careem. Local taxis charge by meter usage and will drive through longer routes to take advantage of this.

• From the Dubai Frame, you can see the new and old cities of Dubai, a huge, fascinating contrast. Additionally, make sure you don't miss the historic Al Fahidi neighborhood, where you can visit a piece of Dubai's past

• The Museum of the Future provides an interesting and imaginative showcase of how society could improve itself using technology in the coming decades. Buy your tickets in advance on the internet, since it is difficult to get them on the spot because of its popularity.

• The best time for a Safari is around 2 to 3 PM local time, since it will not be as hot. Choose one that includes dinner so you can enjoy a typical Emirati meal, including the delicious dessert Luqaimat: A dough ball similar to a donut, which is deep-fried and then served with honey or date syrup.

• Abu Dhabi is a most!! The Sheikh Zayed Mosque, The Royal Palace and The Etihad tower, from you will be able to see the whole city, will leave you breathless. Book a tour that includes these three wonders, with pick up at your hotel. The tour will have a stop at a mall, where you will have time to enjoy a typical emiratis meal at any of the restaurants in the mall. (not included in tour). You will not regret it!!

Aquí te dejamos algunos consejos para tu viaje:

Tambien puedes anadir a la excursion, bebidas, como el famoso cafe rociado con oro de 24 kilates!!, y algunas comidas a un costo adicional. Te recomiento el tour de las 5pm, ya que despues del tour puedes tomar tu bebida y comer en la terraza UMA viendo la caida del sol: espectacular!

• Piérdete en el Dubai Mall, el centro comercial más grande del mundo. ¡Puedes hacer de todo: comer, patinar, visitar un acuario y más! Un día entero no será suficiente para verlo en su totalidad. Hay todo tipo de restaurantes, y también un supermercado que ofrece todo tipo de comida recién preparada. Si eres como yo y disfrutas visitar mercados, te encantará especialmente esta parte del centro comercial.

• Además del Dubai Mall, el Mall of the Emirates alberga un enorme mercado Carrefour que también ofrece alimentos frescos. Para ir, puedes tomar el metro desde El Mall de Dubai, a travez de un pasage interno.

• Dubai no es una ciudad fácilmente transitable. Como ya te explique arriba, utiliza el transporte público como el metro, tranvía, autobús o abra, que son taxis acuáticos (pequeñas embarcaciones). En el metro, una via te cuesta unos $2USD, pero tambien puedes comprar la tarjeta Nol, con la que podrás comprar hasta 10 abonos de transporte público y rellenarlo

• Si necesitas tomar un taxi, utiliza Uber o Careem. Los taxis locales cobran según el uso del taxímetro y recorrerán rutas más largas para aprovechar esto.

• Desde el Marco de Dubai, puedes ver las ciudades nuevas y antiguas de Dubai, un contraste enorme y fascinante. Además, no te pierdas el histórico barrio de Al Fahidi, donde podrás visitar una parte del pasado de Dubái.

• El Museo del Futuro ofrece una muestra interesante e imaginativa de cómo la sociedad podría mejorar utilizando la tecnología en las próximas décadas. Compra tus entradas con antelación en internet, ya que es difícil conseguirlas en el acto debido a su popularidad.

• El mejor momento para un Safari es entre las 2 y las 3 p.m. hora local, ya que no hará tanto calor. Elige uno que incluya cena para que puedas disfrutar de una comida típica emiratí, incluido el delicioso postre Luqaimat: una bola de masa similar a un donut, que se fríe y luego se sirve con miel o sirope de dátiles.
